NGC 6445
View Full ResolutionIn Sagittarius is also known as the "Crescent Nebula" or the "Little Gem". It has an apparent diameter of 36 arc seconds, so is quite small. In this image you can see the blue tinged centre and progressive reddening towards the outer envelope. This LRGB image of 20:15:15:15 minutes was taken on 27th June, 2011 with the C14 and ST10-XE camera.
